Balmoral Intersects 4.51 g/t Gold Over 26.90 Metres In New Discovery Adjacent To Bug South Deposit,
    Martiniere Property, Quebec

    Vancouver, October 17, 2016

    Balmoral Resources Ltd.
today reported additional results from thesummer/fall drill program on its wholly-owned Martiniere Property in Quebec.
Results were highlighted by the discovery of a new high-grade gold bearing vein zone in the hanging wall to the Bug South gold deposit. This new discovery was intersected in hole MDE-16-121, approximately 90 metres above the Upper Bug Zone of the Bug South deposit.

It returned 4.51 g/t gold over 26.90 metres, including separate intercepts of 10.89 g/t gold over 6.80 metres and 15.89 g/t gold over 2.80 metres.
In total results from eight holes were reported, five from the Bug South deposit area (MDE-16-221, 222, 223, 226 and 227) and three from the Bug Southeast Zone and extension.

The gold mineralized intercepts in holes MDE-16-224 and MDE-16-228 (see Figure 1) extend the strike length of the gold mineralized system along the Bug Lake Gold Trend by approximately 200 metres with it remaining open to the southeast, and to depth on all sections, for further expansion

Drill hole MDE-16-225, tested the Bug Southeast Zone and returned 1.74 g/t gold over 17.16 metres, including two higher grade sub-intervals of 6.00 g/t gold over 1.72 metres and 7.40 g/t gold over 1.71 metres.
MDE-16-225 tested beneath hole MDE-16-208, drilled during the winter program, which returned 1.23 g/t gold over 25.02 metres, including two similar higher grade sub-intervals of 8.60 g/t gold over 1.45 metres and 12.00 g/t gold over 1.00 metre (see NR16-10; June 8, 2016).

  • Balmoral Intersects 78.15 Metres Grading 1.65 g/t Gold, Including 17.00 Metres Grading 4.50 g/t Gold,
as Bug South Deposit Continues to Expand, Martiniere Property, Quebec

    December 12th, 2016

    Balmoral Resources Ltd.
today reported the continued intersection of broad zones of gold mineralization from expansion drilling on the Company’s Bug South Gold Deposit in Quebec. Four of the five holes returned gold mineralized down hole intervals ranging in width from 29.53 to 78.15 metres, with average grades ranging between 1.58 and 2.16 g/t gold for these broad intervals. These results are from the Upper Bug Zone, one of several gold mineralized zones contained within the Bug South Deposit.
Each of these intervals features higher grade sub-zones with highlights including 17.00 metres grading 4.50 g/t gold, 9.89 metres grading 4.50 g/t gold and 9.08 metres grading 7.10 g/t gold (See Table below; Figures 1,2,3,4, and 5).

Today’s results continue to support a significant, south-plunging, broadening of the Bug South – Upper Bug Zone in the near surface with the deepest of the holes, MDE-16-234A, intersecting the Zone at approximately 200 metres vertically below surface. This hole returned the highest average gold grade for the Upper Bug Zone. These results are the first from a series of holes drilled to expand the Bug South Deposit following the identification of a rapid broadening of the deposit in the near surface (see NR16-19; September 7, 2016).

Drilling also intersected high-grade gold mineralization in the Footwall (6.75 metres grading 11.29 g/t gold including 1.08 metres at 64.20 g/t gold), Hanging Wall (3.40 metres grading 5.01 g/t gold, including 0.58 metres grading 22.50 g/t gold) and Lower Bug (9.30 metres grading 3.08 g/t gold including 0.74 metres grading 8.48 g/t gold) Zones. All zones remain open at shallow depths for further expansion.

Heute: Balmoral Delivers Strongest Results to Date from Lac Du Doigt Gold Trend

Hole MDX-17-69 returned an intercept of 26.33 metres grading 0.73 g/t gold, including a high grade core of 2.21 metres grading 7.05 g/t gold. This hole was drilled down-dip of hole MDX-16-55, the most westerly hole located along the Lac du Doigt Trend (see Figure 1), and confirmed vertical continuity of the principal gold zone to a depth of approximately 180 metres (see Figure 2).

It also resulted in the discovery of a second gold mineralized zone at shallower depths.
Significant gold mineralization has now been intersected in five holes along 850 metres of the Lac du Doigt Trend, with the most recent intercept suggesting the gold mineralization may be increasing in width and grade along strike
to the west and to depth.
The Lac Du Doigt Trend is the third gold mineralized trend discovered in the Martiniere Property.
The first two Trends – the West and Bug Gold Trends – both host significant gold deposits with characteristics similar
to those now being observed along the Lac du Doigt Trend which include broad gold mineralized zones with a central higher-grade core and strike lengths of several hundred to over 2,000 metres.

Sch...... :wall:

  • Wie schätzt ihr Balmoral ein? Habe folgende Antwortmail bekommen....

xxx, thanks for taking the time to write today. I share your frustration, acutely.

The two analysts who cover us have updated their coverage – both are attached, Barry Allan (BUY) kept his target at $1.00, Phil Ker (BUY) dropped his target to $0.50. On the newsletter front Louis James (SELL) and Byron King (HOLD) both had fairly negative comments, and Jay Taylor came out with a thorough analysis and concluded “…Balmoral is a very undervalued stock”. All three are also attached.

Despite the market response, this is a solid Initial Resource Estimate for the shallow portion of a new Abitibi gold system using real-world mining costs and a lower than current gold price, and delivers 26-42% of our target guidance of 1.5-2.5 million ounces for the system overall. Clearly however, the combination of our failure to effectively manage the market’s expectations, coupled with the all but unmanageable expectations (and rampant speculation) of ‘it should be X million ounces plus after five years’ has led to a severe selloff that continues today. It’s reactionary, and overdone by a wide margin in my eyes:

The big question, and one I’ve obviously put a lot of thought into, is ‘are we fairly valued here?’ I think that the best way to answer that is to look at what our ounces are being valued at versus the other pre-production gold companies in the Abitibi. A lot of variables still remain, but if you’re looking for a quantifiable metric, you can’t do much better.

So we have three ounce counts to consider:

    1. Martiniere alone – 644,000 ounces
    2. Martiniere plus Grasset – 644K gold + 752K gold equivalent (see attached, done at Mar 15 metal prices) = 1,396,000 ounces
    3. Total global gold resource - the metric used below (Martiniere, Grasset, Northshore (559,000 ounces, historical) , and N2 (668,000 ounces, historical)) = 2,623,000 ounces

As of today we have a C$37M market cap, and C$7.5M in cash, which means that we are being valued at ~C$30M, or:

    1. Martiniere alone – C$46 per ounce
    2. Martiniere plus Grasset – C$20 per ounce
    3. Total global gold resource - the metric used below - C$10 per ounce

I looked at 21 of our peers in the Abitibi (see most recent whiteboard attached), either existing pre-production gold companies or ones that have been acquired in the past 6 years. Despite the market reaction, with the size and quality of this Initial Resource Estimate we have clearly now joined their ranks. I wanted to answer a simple question: what is an ounce of quality Abitibi gold worth? Note that all of the numbers below are for the global resource, IE including every single reported ounce.

    1. Quality, comparable pre-production gold assets in the Abitibi are currently valued at between C$46 and C$157 per in-situ global resource ounce, averaging C$101. The most comparable asset to Martiniere seems to be Probe’s Val D’or East project, which carries a C$98M valuation, or ~C$70 per in-situ global resource ounce.

    1. Quality, comparable pre-production gold assets in the Abitibi at acquisition have averaged C$192 per in-situ global resource ounce over the past 6 years or so, with the most recent transaction being Integra’s Lamaque Project, where the global resource fetched C$172 per ounce and the core asset (Triangle) C$224 per ounce.

In light of this, it seems pretty clear that the selloff is reactionary, and overdone by a wide margin.

  • Hier sollte man sich auch fragen, wann die nächste Kapitalerhöhung (Verwässerung) ansteht und zu welchem Kurs.
