    Labrador Gold Intercepts 50.38 g/t Over 1.85 Metres Including 160.42 g/t Over 0.55 Metres at Big Vein, Kingsway Project, Newfoundland


    TORONTO, June 22, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Labrador Gold Corp. (TSX.V:LAB | OTCQX:NKOSF | FNR: 2N6) (“LabGold” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce another high-grade intercept of near surface gold mineralization from its Kingsway project near Gander, Newfoundland. The Kingsway project is located in the highly prospective central Newfoundland gold belt.
    The high-grade intersection is from hole K-21-17 that contains fine particles of visible gold in quartz vein. The hole intersected 50.38 g/t Au over 1.85 metres including 160.42 g/t over 0.55 metres. The quartz vein containing the visible gold is typically vuggy and locally contains stylolites and is similar to quartz veins containing high grade gold intersections of 20.6 g/t Au over 3.6 metres including 103.36 g/t over 0.3 metres and 10.48 g/t Au over 2.4 metres reported previously (see news release dated June 3, 2021). The intersection in hole K-21-17 represents a 30 metre step out to the northeast from the previous intercepts and extends the high-grade mineralization to approximately 40 metres along strike. The mineralization remains open in both directions. A summary of the high-grade intersection, as well as other assays received to date, are given in Table 1 below

These holes were drilled as part of the Company’s 50,000 metre drill program. The Kingsway project is located in the highly prospective central Newfoundland gold belt.
    Three holes K-21-47, -48, and -49 all contained intervals grading more than 12g/t Au. Hole K-21-47 intersected 128.51 g/t Au over 1.12m from 168 metres in the HTC Zone which represents a “metal factor” (grade x width) of 143.9 g/t Au x m*. Hole K-21-48 intersected 35.7 g/t Au over 1.55m from 12.22m and hole K-21-49 intersected 9.6g/t Au over 10m from 51m, including 76.86g/t Au over 1m. Both intersections in holes K-21-48 and -49 are in the Big Vein Zone.     Labrador Gold Announces Receipt of Drill Permit for Appleton Fault Targets, Mobilizes Drill


    TORONTO, Oct. 18, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Labrador Gold Corp. (TSX.V:LAB | OTCQX:NKOSF | FNR: 2N6) (“LabGold” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce the receipt of Exploration Approval for diamond drilling of regional Appleton Fault Zone targets at its 100% controlled Kingsway Project near Gander, Newfoundland. The Kingsway project is located within the highly prospective Gander Gold District.
    LabGold has mobilized a drill rig to the first target, located approximately 800m northeast of Big Vein (see Figure 1) and the Company expects drilling to begin this week. Initial drilling will take place up ice from where a significant number of pristine gold grains in till were found earlier this year (see news release dated August 5, 2021). Follow up exploration by the LabGold team has demonstrated the potential of this area and defined drill targets will be systematically drilled over the coming weeks. This is one of several gold anomalies comprising the “string of pearls” along the Appleton Fault Zone that are in various stages of advancement.

    Labrador Gold Intersects 50.52 g/t Gold Over 2 Metres at Kingsway

(TSX.V:LAB | OTCQX:NKOSF | FNR: 2N6) (“LabGold” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce further high-grade intercepts of near surface gold mineralization along the Appleton Fault Zone at its 100% controlled Kingsway project near Gander, Newfoundland. These holes were drilled as part of the Company’s ongoing 50,000 metre drill program. The Kingsway project is located in the highly prospective central Newfoundland gold belt.
    High grade gold continues to be found at Big Vein including intercepts of 50.52 g/t Au over 2m in hole K-21-76 from the HTC Footwall Zone. A deeper (200m to 201m) intercept of 15.86 g/t Au over 1 m from the same hole appears to be from a new zone. Approximately 135 metres along strike to the southwest, Hole K-21-74 intersected 2.86 g/t Au over 25m including 16.21g/t Au over 1m and 5.7g/t over 7m in a possible new zone in the immediate footwall to the Big Vein Zone. Testing further to the Southwest along Big Vein indicates consistent increased width of mineralization in the Big Vein zone as shown here by Hole K-21-75, that intersected 3.33 g/t Au over 4m within a larger intercept of 12m grading 1.62 g/t Au from 28m.

    Labrador Gold Announces Doubling of Drill Program to 100,000 Metres and Increase to Five Drill Rigs


    TORONTO, Jan. 19, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Labrador Gold Corp. (TSX.V:LAB | OTCQX:NKOSF | FNR: 2N6) (“LabGold” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce a significant increase to its diamond drilling program, at the 100% controlled Kingsway project near Gander, Newfoundland. This increase follows the Company’s success exploring along the Appleton Fault Zone over the past 18 months. The Kingsway project is located in the highly prospective central Newfoundland gold belt.
    LabGold plans to double the current drilling program to 100,000 metres which includes the outstanding 23,000 metres remaining in the current 50,000 metre program. Four diamond drill rigs are currently operating at Kingsway and a fifth rig is scheduled to start following receipt of permits. Applications for 111 drill holes were submitted late last year and are expected in early March. The increased program is fully funded by the Company’s cash on hand of approximately $30 million.
    Drilling will continue to test Big Vein along strike and down plunge as well as the Pristine target where early drilling is encouraging. Golden Glove, where grab samples from a quartz vein containing visible gold assayed from 2.16 to 338.08 g/t Au (see news release dated October 21, 2021), is a prime target and will be drilled following receipt of soil samples over the area. These are expected in the first quarter. Numerous other targets developing along the Appleton Fault Zone (see Figure 1) will be systematically tested along the entire 12km strike length during the increased program.

    Samples are securely stored prior to shipping to Eastern Analytical Laboratory in Springdale, Newfoundland for assay. Eastern Analytical is an ISO/IEC17025 accredited laboratory. Samples are routinely analyzed for gold by standard 30g fire assay with ICP (inductively coupled plasma) finish with samples containing visible gold assayed by metallic screen/fire assay.     Jetzt finde ich irgendwo einen klitzekleinen aber sehr hochgradigen Brocken... wie berechnen die da den Gehalt pro Tonne?



    Da muss ich ja nur den ganzen Dreck und wertloses Gestein entfernen und habe dann extreme grades?! :hae:



    Gibt es da eine Mindestmenge an Material die getestet wird?



    Hört sich ja für den Laien erstmal gut an, leider tut sich am Kurs schon länger wenig :/

    Das ist eine Wissenschaft für sich. Ich habe einmal versucht mich tiefer in die Materie einzuarbeiten, aber mein Wissen blieb eher oberflächlich und v. a. praxisfremd. Meine Geologenausbildung betrug ca. 20 Lektionen "Geologie und Plattentektonik" im Gymnasium.
    (Wir sind damals mit der Schulklasse in einem Car in die Alpen gefahren und jeder Schüler durfte mit einem Hämmerchen auf Gneis, Kalk und Granit rumklopfen. Das hatte mich nicht interessiert. Aber es gab natürlich auch kein Gold und Silber dort... :rolleyes: ).


    Zurück zum Thema: Es gibt verschiedene Sampling Methoden. Bei den Samples von Labrador handelt es sich um "Grab"-Samples. Die sind zwar zuverlässiger als "Chip"-Samples, aber weniger methodisch als "Bulk" oder "Channel" Samples. Sie geben eine Orientierung, sind aber nicht repräsentativ für die wahren Vorkommen.


    Labrador beschreibt in der Medienmitteilung oben, wie die Proben ausgewertet werden. Natürlich werden bei Grab Samples auch oder v. a. Proben mit sichtbarem Gold gesammelt. Ob die Geologen dann von so einem Stück dann noch Gesteinsteile abschlagen um den Goldanteil der Probe zu erhöhen? Möglich, sie würden ja aber v. a. sich selbst betrügen. (Labrador Gold habe ich nicht im Depot. Bisher war mir zuwenig Fleisch am Knochen. Auf New Foundland bin ich zurzeit in Sokoman, New Found Gold, Maritime und Marathon investiert).


    Goliath Resources hatte 2020 hervorragende Channel-Samples ausgewiesen. Ich war damals an ihnen dran, bin dann leider nicht eingestiegen, weil ich der Sache nicht traute und das Terrain sehr steil ist. Später haben aber die Bohrungen gute Resulate gefliefert und der Kurs verzehnfachte sich. Jetzt sind sie mir mit fast 100 Mio MC zu teuer. Seither habe ich ein Auge auf Channel Samples! 8o

    Nachtrag zum Sampling von Goliath Resources. Wenn wir uns das Terrain mit den steilen Felswänden anschauen, leuchtet ein, weshalb hier Channel Samples so aussagekräftit sind. Die Gesteinsschichten mit ihren Adern reichen aufgrund der Abbruchkanten bis an die Oberfläche. Es liegt ein schöner Querschnitt vor. Ob in diesem Gebirge aber wirtschaftlich abgebaut werden kann, stelle ich in Frage. Die Gebirgslage erinnert mich an Scottie Resources.
